What is Remote Healing or Distance Healing?
Remote healing is the act of sending an energetic stimulus to a person or animal in another location, that will result in a shift of that person or animal’s physical, mental or emotional well being.

The concept of sending and receiving frequencies remotely is taken for granted. If we thought about this for a few moments, we would consider this impossible. Yes. Living beings also have physical laws involving frequencies by which they operate. We are an energetic electrical system. Can Our Body’s Energy Field Effect Other Body’s Energy Fields?
This energy field or complex of frequencies is believed to extend outside our physical bodies, as demonstrated by photographing auras with Kirlian photography. Since our energy frequencies are carried outside our body, it is a reasonable conclusion that there is a medium outside our body that has a compatible frequency operating system that supports it and can transmit it.

It is this medium or external field that allows the transmission of human to human frequency influence. Just as we can have influence over our own internal frequencies (movement control, mental thought), and frequencies can have influence over other frequencies (see quantum physics below), it may be concluded that if we can send a frequency through this external medium we can create change through a distance when it is received by a receiver with the same operating system (living being).

What is This Medium and How Does It Work?
This medium is a field of energy, that can transmit frequencies from living beings focused toward a receiver. This receiver is another living being.

One of the foremost contributors to this information is Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. He has written the book “A New Science of Life” and “The Presence of the Past”, as well as dozens of papers. He talks about “morphic fields” as interweaving fields of energy in the universe involving all existing matter, that continually interact energetically. The book “The Field- The Quest for the Secret Force of Infinite Mind” by Lynn McTaggert, describes the “zero point field” : an energy field that connects everything in the universe into an energetic matrix. This book is a scientific reporting of many studies and researchers in this subject.

Dr. David Hawkins, MD, Ph.D. wrote “Power Versus Force”, discussing the theory of a collective of universal information contained outside our physical bodies, that can be tapped into. He also co-authored a book with Nobel prize winning researcher Linus Pauling entitled “Orthomolecular Psychiatry”.

What is the Science Behind This?
The most widely accepted scientific evidence that supports these theories is quantum physics or quantum mechanics. Part of the theory states that subatomic particles change shape depending upon whether or not they are observed. Therefore, our energy can influence subatomic matter. Since all matter is composed of subatomic particles and the space between them, we conclude that energy can influence larger matter, like human beings and animals.
There are many similar theories from degreed and well educated individuals in science that write about and study the concepts of sending and receiving energy in addition to those discussed above. There is also an abundance of anecdotal evidence.

What Studies Have Been Done?
There have been double blind studies done (neither the administrator or the subject know any pertinent test information). The most famous of which were 393 patients in the coronary unit at San Francisco General Hospital were divided into two double blind groups. One half received remote healing from several groups and the others nothing. There was significant statistical results in the remote group for faster and better recovery and less deaths.

Out of 131additional control group studies of this nature, over half have demonstrated statistical significance for those who received remote healing.

The United States Army, a rather conservative thinking group, has volumes of positive studies and information on remote healing, viewing and effects of remote stimulus on the body that have been published. The CIA did research on remote viewing, the FBI has used it, as well as many police departments.

One well known Army study involves placing cheek cells from a donor in a test tube. With the cells remotely located, probes were hooked to both donor and cheek cells. When a stimulus was applied to the donor, the cheek cells reacted. This supports the theory that matter can be affected remotely.
